We take almost everything — but there are a handful of items no licensed hauler can legally throw in the trailer. Here's what they are and how to handle them in Marion County.
Hazardous materials are the big one: wet paint, motor oil, gasoline, solvents, pesticides, asbestos, and medical waste. These require special handling and can't go to a standard transfer station.
Marion County's Environmental Center accepts household hazardous waste from residents, often free of charge. Latex paint can be dried out and thrown away, and many auto shops take used motor oil.
Just about everything else — furniture, appliances, electronics, mattresses, yard debris, and construction scrap. When in doubt, send us a photo and we'll tell you straight.
